Falling In Love With the Process

It was early morning on April 1st, with coffee in hand, that I decided to do a 30 day bike challenge. The rules were perfect for me, ride your bike everyday for 30 days and go farther each day. In that moment, I had forgotten that it snows in April in Minnesota and the wind is ice cold, almost wind chill worthy. It was just one of those days when I saw this quote.

Fall in love with the process and the results come.

During the 30 days, I was in love with the process more on some days than others, and now at the end I can say I’m happy with the result. You see, I did not have a specific goal in mind, I just knew I had something to learn through the process. It taught me that there are NO excuses for not doing something, you can always take one more step in the direction you want to go, and you find that you have strength, courage and determination you forgot you had, ┬áThis was not a big challenge according to some people’s standards but for me, it was. That is the key, decide what the challenge will be for you, it can be something physical, starting a new habit or doing something good for yourself, whatever it is just begin. I think you might be surprise yourself!

If you care to share, I’d love to hear what your challenge is. Please visit my new revised about me page.
